Pera Wallet Lookback at 2022
Dear Algorand community, here we are already at the end of Q2 2022, midway through the year. It was a very busy 6 months for us at Pera and we feel that we’ve accomplished a lot thanks to your support and feedback, as we continuously improved Pera Algo Walletand our various initiatives.
We thought it would be beneficial to take a look at everything that we’ve launched so far this year, along with our plans for what’s ahead for the remainder of 2022.
MoonPay Integration
Right after we completed the transition from Algorand Wallet to Pera Wallet, we finished our MoonPay integration and allowed easy Algo purchases using credit or debit cards, and even with Apple Pay and Google Pay options. This was a big win, especially for newcomers to Algorand, since it allowed purchasing directly in Pera Wallet without relying on custodial exchanges.
Native Swap Support
We have been getting ready to bring easy swaps to Pera Wallet and we expect to have Tinyman and Algofi fully supported in the upcoming months. Our implementations will be fully open-source, making them the most transparent and trustworthy client integration available.
Pera Algo Wallet is the simple, fast way to send and request algos on the Algorand blockchain. Pera Wallet allows you to:

• Instantly send algos to contacts
• Easily generate and share requests for algos
• View your complete transaction history
• Store all of your contacts for fast and easy access
• Add and remove accounts

Pera Wallet AMA: Your Questions Answered
Hello Algorand community! You’ll probably remember, we ran a week-long AMA session during the first week of March to answer some of your burning questions about Pera Algo Wallet, now that we’ve collected, organized and reflected on your questions, it’s time to get some answers out there. Due to the overwhelming engagement and responses (thanks!), we thought we’d make things easier for you by breaking up the AMA summary over two shorter articles.
Why is the app called Pera? Why didn’t you keep the Algorand name in the wallet?
Algorand’s stance is that no wallet in the Algorand ecosystem should use the Algorand name. It’s better for the community to have multiple competing wallets that offer different kinds of functionality. We have a thriving ecosystem with multiple wallets launching this year and as Pera Wallet we are thrilled to be among such worthy competition.
